So, we went to Bacchanalia and it satisfied all our hopes and dreams excluding the one where we have money in our pockets. To make matters worse, I am now the only one of us who is gainfully employed. To matters worse worse, the fact that I am gainfully employed doesn't help CAS because my family's taking a hit from The Recession Boogie Monster. So, no more CAS for awhile.
In recent news: its warm in atlanta, so last weekend we got burgers from Checkers and went to Piedmont Park. Then we went back to Dr. Bombay's Underwater Tea Party, where we ran into a friend from high school.. who was home from RISD for the weekend. Which was weird and cool. Simultaneously.
Tonight is Downer Emotional Porn night, the next in a series of theme nights brought to you by the ladies of CAS. We're watching Atonement, Brideshead Revisited and Black Book. No Boys Allowed.
Today is Friday the 13th. Which I only realised an hour ago.
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and Kevin is being sneaky, I guess? I'm still voting for takeout and watching terrible movies.

in case you didn't know
I am what we -- and by we, I, as usual, mean I -- know as "sneaky geek".
I like a lot of webcomics and I'm definitely going to buy the next twilight book. I dressed up as Tonks for the last Harry Potter book party (but I didn't go to any of the other book parties, okay?!)
I own an awful lot of books and I like a lot of things.
But my geek cannot compete with that of most of my friends.
I just want to get that out there.
With that in mind, I need a new book shelf and I have a growing list of books and movies to work through before I get back to school.
I need to stalk the head of my english department until he agrees to be my new academic advisor.
I need my college to SEND ME MY FINANCIAL AID PACKAGE KTHNX.
I need a kitten.
No.
No, I don't. Don't get me a kitten. Maybe. Yes. No. Maybe get me a kitten.
I need to finish a story. I need to stop writing poetry. Who the hell reads poetry, anyway? No one will read this nonsense, so this is turning into a lot of intellectual masterbation.
I need to finish The Magus.
I need to buy Hopscotch.
I need to get some things published so I won't feel so useless.
I need to get a job and an internship for next summer and get myself set to study abroad so I don't waste the little time I have.
I need to work out my brain. Can you tell?
I also need to buy new glasses, because I miss being able to wear frames instead of contacts every once in a while.
Yeah.

In unrelated news, I saw Song of the Living Dead at Dad's Garage Theater on Thursday, and it was gorey, over the top, offensive, scary and extraordinarily catchy. Topics include: homophobia, red necks, rape, necrophilia, baby rape, social anxiety disorder, all manner of desecrating the dead, all manner of desecration of the living BY the dead, interacial gay relationships, being assraped by jesus, anal sex, oral sex, and the most disturbing birth ever.
Favorite numbers:
"Why are You Corn Holing Me, Jesus?"
"I'm Fucking Awesome".
"I'm Gay For Jesus" gets an honorable mention for having black leather, red fishnet and white southern baptist preachers. Also, a gay couple with matching whistles.
I am not even kidding, kids and kittens.
